Automatic tension straps and automatic lashing straps

Practical automatic tensioning belts with easy handling

The task of a tension strap is to protect the load from slipping during transport by increasing the frictional force between the loading surface and the goods to be secured by applying pressure. The tighter the belt is tied down, the more efficiently it secures the load. Of course, the inherent load capacity of the belt also plays an important role. Automatic tension straps with ratchet are very easy to handle, resilient and also very durable. This is because the automatic retraction prevents unneeded belt lengths from being exposed to dirt or moisture. Various fittings on the strap ends ensure an optimum connection with the respective lashing tracks.

An automatic lashing strap with ratchet is available in different lengths depending on the model. As a rule, the tension straps in this category are black. The lashing capacity of most models, with straight tension, is 125 decanewtons. One decanewton corresponds to approximately one kilogram of clamping force. For heavier loads, belts with a lashing capacity of 450 decanewtons are recommended.

Automatic tension straps with ratchet and snap hook or S-hook can be attached to many lashing points and are also practical in transporters. The optimum solution here, however, is the automatic tension straps with flat hooks for tracks with pins. Special fittings are also available as end fittings for vehicles with airline tracks.

To prevent sensitive goods, such as furniture, from being damaged when the tension straps are attached, and to ensure that the tension straps do not rub off on the edges, plastic edge protection can be used. Alternatively, rubberised edge protection is also available, which you pull over the lashing strap with ratchet.
